A firm fixed-price contract is contemplated for acquisition of TF33 1st Stage Seal, Air, Turbine. Line Item 0001: Input/Output NSN: 2840-01-495-5489RV, P/N: 800223M20. DESCRIPTION: Metal Airseal Ring 1.4 inches long and 32 inches in diameter. Approximately .25 inches thick. Seal has 38 equally spaced tabs on O.D. which engage notches in the turbine nozzle case to prevent rotation when installed. The dimensions are approximately 1.5 inches X .32 inches diameter. The material is nickel alloy. The function is the outer airseal installs in turbine nozzle case to provide desired clearance on 1st Stage Turbine Blades. QUANTITY: 60EA. Applicable to: TF33 Engine. Destn: Tinker Air Force Base OK 73145-3032. Delivery: Item 0001: August 2005 THIS ITEM IS A COMPETITIVE, SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. TECHNICAL DATA PACKAGE PROVIDED. SOLICITATION WILL HAVE FIRST ARTICLE REQUIREMENTS. Government and Commercial New/Unused surplus is acceptable.Solicitation posting date is approximately 24 Nov 2004. Solicitation response date is approximately 27 Dec 2004. Anticipated award date is Jan 2005. Written and electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation. Only written, faxed, or e-mailed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opporutunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with United Technologies Corpporation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
