Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, anticipates acquiring services to perform maintenance, upkeep and repair of (but not limited to) the USS Dolphin, Submarine Support Barge and marine related test equipment. These service include rigging of ship and project support equipment; painting; gas free inspections; tank cleaning and sand blasting; diesel engine overhaul, generator repairs, maintenance and repair of electrical and piping systems, welding, repairs of hull and hydraulic systems; maintenance and repairs of interior communications, boat alterations and fabrication of project test support equipment, etc. Award of an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity contract is anticipated with Cost Plus Fixed Fee Term and Completion provisions. The performance period will be five years from the date of award. Labor categories include: Manager, Program Project (Key) 5,250 hrs, Machinist Shipboard 22,000 hrs, Manager, Administrative I 2,020 hrs, Material Handling Laborer 5,250 hrs, Mechanic, Machinery Maintenance 22,000 hrs, Painter 5,250 hrs, Welder 13,650 hrs, Maintenance Trades Helper 10,500 hrs, Material Coordinator Hazmat 8,400 hrs, Electrician Shipboard 5,250 hrs and Carpenter 10,500 hrs. The Service Contract Act applies to this acquisition with performance in San Diego, CA. Performance under the contract will require a security clearance to the confidential level. Award will be made on the basis of Best Value with evaluation factors, of Technical Approach, Management Approach, Past Performance, Personnel and Cost. This is 100% set-aside for small business. Size standard is 1,000 employees. See Note 1. This is a follow-on contract to N66601-00-D-0014 with Hud-Mac Marine Services, San Diego, CA. Technical cognizance for this acquisition resides at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH. This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil.
