Description

This solicitation contains provisions for the Preventative Maintenance and Repairs of the Grit Chambers at various designated areas and the inspection of catch basins, at the Naval Complex, Newport, RI. This solicitation contains a Base Period and four One-Year Options to be executed by the Government if found to be in its best interest. The options may be exercised without notice. FAR Clause 52.217-8, Option to Extend Services will be included in this solicitation. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and management to: pump, clean, and properly dispose of waste from sewage lift stations, grit chambers, oil/grease separators, grease traps and catch basins at various designated areas and inspect catch basins. This contract will be a combination fixed-price and indefinite quantity contract. This solicitation will be issued as a Small Business Set Aside and is subject to the HubZone Evaluation Preference contained in FAR 52.219-4. The estimated cost range is $100,000 to $250,000. The NAICS Code is 562111, Waste Collection Services, Nonhazardous - Solid, and has a Small Business Standard of $10.5 million. The IFB, Invitation For Bid, will be available on the Internet, only. Per the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFAR) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Be advised, for solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, failure to register in the CCR may render an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts.
