Description

This work consists of maintenance dredging of several federal navigation channels along the Gulf Coast in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. This work will require dredging to depths up to 18 feet over channel widths of 150 feet. The dredging materi al will be disposed in either open water or upland disposal sites. This contract will require a smaller cutterhead pipeline dredge, less than 20-inch dredge, due to the channel widths, depths and limited disposal area capacities. Estimated cost range of this project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitation documents should be available on or about 31 January 2005. Mr. Leo J. Hickman is Contracting Officer for this project. NOTES 1. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. Registratio n should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. The plans and specifications will be issued on the internet only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax or by posting for download to the aforementioned web page. 3. All bid forms, bid bonds, and other normal documents required for the bid submittal, including amendments to the bid submittal, shall be in paper medium. Electronic medium for the bid submittal documents will not be allowed. 4. Critical Path method (Network Analysis System) is not required. 5. For this job, a small business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $17,000,000 for the past three years. 6. This solicitation may include options which may not be awarded. 7.
