Description

This work consists of the contractor furnishing all labor, material, equipment, supervision, work and facilities necessary to perform all operations, in strict accordance with specifications and applicable drawings. The scope of work for this project includes the following: (1) Replace existing supply fan #10 (SF-10) sheaves so that the motor reaches allowable amperage, 126 mps at 60 HZ (increase fan output from about 35,000 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) to 36,000 CFM) and lower the duct static pressure set point to the value that maintains design air flow at the most demanding Variable Air Volume (VAV) box per the project drawings and specifications. (2) Modify each VAV box outlet in the Raven Gym with a lined plenum section and replace the single diffusers with two diffusers per the project drawings and specifications. (3) Install reheat coils at VAVs in work area, Vice Principal (D133) and Principal?s Offices per the project drawings and specifications. (4) Replace designated theater VAV reheat coils, block holes in open supply plenum, modify the return air system (add two new return grilles at front of theater and duct to return air trunk) per the project drawings and specifications. (5) Bid Option: Duct theater supply air from its branch outlets above the ceiling to new ceiling supply registers per the project drawings and specifications. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238220 with a size standard of $12,000,000. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The work for this project will be at Ben Eielson School (bldg 5271), Eielson AFB, AK. This solicitation is paperless and will be available via CD-ROM. The solicitation will be issued on/about 11 February 2005. Proposals will be due 30 days after issuance of solicitation. The on-site performance period is 60 calendar days. On-site work shall not begin until 1 June 2005, and shall completed no later than 15 August 2005. To obtain a copy of the solicitation CD, email your request to the email address below.
