- Eglin AFB has a requirement to construct an Explosive Ordnance Disposal training facility on Eglin AFB, FL. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220 and the size standard is $28.5 million. This acquisition is unrestricted. This is a performance price tradeoff acquisition and award will be based upon the best value to the Government in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award the contract at other than the lowest proposed price. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operations in connection with the construction of 4,730 square foot pre-engineered metal building frame on piling supported concrete slab. The building includes four classrooms, offices, restrooms with shower rooms, storage areas, and mechanical, electrical, and communications areas. In general, the work consists of architectural, mechanical, and electrical. The requirement includes four bid options as follows: roof structure, CMU wainscot, parking area, and fencing. The performance period for the project is 210 calendar days. The magnitude of the construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The project is subject to the statutory cost limitation of $750,000 in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation 252.236-7006. Funds are not currently available for this project. No award will be made until funds available to make payment under this contract. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after closing date, with not obligation to the offeror by the Government. This is a paperless acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Government Federal Business Opportunities Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov) on or about 16 February 2005. The estimated proposal due date will be addressed in the RFP. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through the Federal Government Federal Business Opportunities Electronic Posting System (www.eps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most current information regarding this acquisition. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DOD Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the CCR database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
