- The Government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price Contract to procure 40 reels of Shore Power Cable, THOF enhanced, each reel to provide a usable cable length of 500 feet after connector termination, to be used by Naval Facilities Mid-Atlantic located in Norfolk, Virginia. The cable must meet several specifications which are itemized in the solicitation and each offeror must submit a cable sample of not less than 4 feet but not more than 6 feet for technical evaluation along with its quote. Instructions for submitting the sample are found on page 15 of the solicitation under (FAR) 52.212-2, Evaluation – Commercial Items (JAN 1999). This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The requested delivery date is within 45 days after date of contract award, but offerors should indicate their best, realistic delivery date in their quotes. Quotes are due by 4:00 p.m., 29 December 2004. The North American Industry Classification System code is 331422, . Contract line items are as follows: CLIN 0001, Shore Power Cable, THOF enhanced, 600 volt, 500 MCM, 3 conductor, each of the 40 reels to contain enough cable to provide a useable cable length of 500 feet after connector termination (but no more than 520 feet) in accordance with the specifications listed in the solicitation. Offerors found to be technically acceptable will be invited to participate in a Dynamic Pricing Event (i.e. Reverse Auction). Information on the Dynamic Pricing Event starts on page 5 of the solicitation and ends on page 15. Technical questions must be directed to Bonnie Parker via e-mail at bonnie.parker@navy.mil. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and any subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http: www.fedbizopps.gov as this office no longer issues hard-copy solicitations. The Solicitation Number is N00189-05-T-0033. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. Numbered Notes 1 and 23 apply.
