Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. This is not a request for proposal and there is no solicitation package available at this time. Pope AFB, NC, is conducting market research regarding the availability and capability of qualified Small Business Concerns to maintain and upgrade services on the current Intrusion Detection System on Pope AFB to begin tentatively on 1 April 2005. The proposed contract would consist of a base period (1 Apr ? 30 Sep 2005) and one option year. Because of limited information available at this time, you may view the Statement of Work from the previous contract for the same services, by requesting a copy from the Contract Administrator listed below. The current system is ACS-61, manufactured by SMF Technology. To qualify as a Small Business concern, a firm and its affiliates must be independently owned and operated, not dominant in the field of operation in which it is bidding on government contracts, and qualify as a small business under the criteria and size standards in 13 CFR Part 121 (reference Federal Acquisition Regulation 19.102). The North American Industry Classification System is 561621 and the size standard is $9,000,000.00. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES REQUIRED: The contractor is responsible for bringing this system in compliance with AFI 31-101 and Air Force security standards. The system transmits the alarm signals to the Security Forces Central Control Console via telephone and/or fiber cables. The current system components, sensing devices, enunciators, and all associated equipment may be utilized to make a complete and usable system. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools and other items or services necessary to perform all operations in connection with the replacement, maintenance, and repair of the security alarm equipment at Pope Air Force Base. Contractor shall also replace alarm device wiring in all buildings where necessary to meet the Air Force standards.
