Description
The U.S. Army Engineer District, New Orleans, has a requirement to purchase varying amounts of crushed stone, rip rap, fill dirt, and river sand to multiple locations on the Atchafalaya Basin Floodway System Project (ABFS) during the period 8 Februar y 2005 through 7 February 2010. Solicitation W912P8-05-T-0020 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This requirement is being procured as a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) under FAR Part 13.303. The applicable Standard Industrial Code is 5032 a nd the business size is 100 employees. The NAICS code is 423320. This solicitation is issued as 100% small business set aside. The RFQ and all information pertaining to this acquisition will be made available electronically through the Federal Business Opportunities electronic posting system web link at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is and will continue to be all potential offerors responsibility to monitor the fedbizopps website for any amendments, updates, bidders, library, responses to questions, an d answers as the government will not be maintaining a mailing list. It is incumbent upon all potential offerors to download from the fedbizopps website. Any communications must identify the RFQ number W912P8-05-T-0020, company name, address, phone number including area code, facsimile number and point of contact. The Contract Specialist for this requirement is Angela Deren (Angela.Deren@mvn02.usace.army.mil) and the Contracting Officer is Rosalind M. Baker (Rosalind.M.Baker@mvn02.usace.army.mil). Any co mmunications must be sent to both the Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer. No phone call requests will be accepted. The RFQ will be issued on or about 31 January 2005. Quotes are due on or about 8 February 2005. The Government intends to award one BPA from this solicitation from which future obligating BPA calls will be placed. NOTE: Contractor must be registered with Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity. Information on registratio n may be obtained by calling 1-800-334-3414 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Registering may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. ATTENTION: Effective January 1, 2005, all contractors who submit an offer/bid are encouraged to register in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA).
