- Operational Contracting, United States Air Force Academy Academy, CO, intends to award a sole source purchase order utilizing simplified acquisition procedures to Kinetics Medical Inc., Carlsbad, CA 92009-4222. The acquisition is for arthroplasty implant of wrist and hand components to include compressor bone screws. The acquisition also includes related instrumentation and professional advisory services to the medical/surgical staff. The Government has determined that in certain instances, as determined by a patient to patient medical evaluation system, the Kinetikos Medical Inc. implant components provides the best overall outcome to the patient. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. If a response is not received by 25 January 2005, 1700 hours, Mountain Time Zone, to the effect that comparable products are available that would be more advantageous to the Government, than obtaining the products through sole source procurement to Kinetikos Medical Inc., a sole source award will be accomplished.
