- U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center (ELC) has an urgent requirement to overhaul one (1) each VA Tech Escher Wyss GMBH Controllable Pitch Propulsion (CPP) Hub, Stock No. 2010-12-307-6892, VA Tech Escher Wyss GMBH Part No. 83459400LH. This CPP Hub is used on the U.S. Coast Guard 378 WHEC Hamilton Class vessels. Overhaul to be performed in accordance with USCG ELC Specification No. R-245-0155 dated 02/04 and criteria set forth in the OEM drawings, specifications, and technical publications. Quality Assurance required. All replacement parts shall be new OEM parts. Substitute parts are not acceptable. Preservation, Packaging, and Marking shall be in accordance with USCG ELC Specification No. R-245-0155 dated 02/04 and Bar coding for U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center Material, Specification No. D-000-0100 Rev. F dated 10/91. Delivery shall be 90 days after award. Delivery to be F.O.B. destination to Defense Distribution Depot, Puget Sound (DDTS), 467 West Street, Bremerton, WA 98315-5130. This notice is published in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The North American Industry Classification Standard (NAICS) is 811310 and the dollar amount is $ 5.0 million. It is the Government's belief that only VA Tech Escher Wyss GMBH, Ravensburg, Germany (OEM), or their authorized U.S. Representative, NW Propeller Operations, Inc. can provide repair services and OEM parts. Technical drawings, specifications, fits, clearances pertaining to CPP Hubs are proprietary to VA Tech Escher Wyss GMBH or their authorized distributors. However, other potential sources having the expertise and required capabilities can submit such data discussing the same in duplicate within 3 days from the date of this announcement. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered parts: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered item (i.e. salient physical, functional, and serviceability characteristics, or 2) Data that the offered part has been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the Original Equipment Manufacturer. Solicitation No. HSCG40-05-Q-60297 shall be available on or about 25 January 2005. Interested contractors should download the RFQ package from fedbizops@www.eps.gov . The closing date for receipt of responses shall be no later than 8 February 2005, 1 pm EST. This acquisition is not set-a-side for small business. See numbered note 22. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
