- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a sole source contract to Omegadyne, Inc., Sunbury, OH for repair of the following items: 1. 20 ea. P/N A0186668, Dual Differential Pressure Transducers; 2. 9 ea. P/N A018211, Pressure Switches. This procurement is sole source because the above items were designed and manufactured by Omegadyne, Inc. and is proprietary to that firm. The Government does not own the design and, therefore, can not provide it to another supplier. The proposed action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the closing date will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
