- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure an Interface Adapter Cable Set (IACS). This IACS will connect a Data Bus Network Tester (DBNT) to each stub of each MIL-STD 1553 Data Bus Network (DBN) on the CV-22 tilt rotor aircraft. The MIL-STD-1553 DBN transmits data between the various avionics systems on board the aircraft. The purpose of this IACS will be to verify, at the Organizational Maintenance Level, whether the network electrical operating characteristics are within the required ranges as specified in MIL-STD 1553B. It is anticipated that this contract will be a Firm Fixed Price contract where during the first year, the contractor shall be required to provide three First Article Test Units, four production units, and a full techncial data package with associated logistics data. After completion of the base effort, the government will have the option of purchasing up to five additional productions units per year for the following 4 years. This procurement will be issued as a total small business set aside. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage at http://www.navair.navy.mil on or about the week of February 14, 2005.
