Description

This Request For Quotations (RFQ) is issued as a Commercial Item in accordance with FAR Part 12. Requirements are a mobile plate and frame sludge dewatering press delivered on-site at Leadville Mine Drainage Tunnel (LMDT) water treatment plant, Leadville, Colorado. LMDT is a two (2) MGD treatment facility for metals-laden mine drainage. The dewatering unit will be rented for approximately 91 days, from April 1, 2005, through June 30, 2005. The press will supplement the existing plant stationary press, to accommodate elevated metals levels and increased volumes of sludge experienced due to spring runoff. The contractor will provide a technician for one to two days to assist with setting up the equipment and training LMDT staff on operation and maintenance of the apparatus. Plate and frame dewatering press must be equivalent to or exceed: (a) Minimum Volume 3.45 cubic yards (93 cubic feet); (b) Minimum Feed Rate 125 gpm; (c) Minimum pressure 225 psi; (d) On board air compressor or air storage capability; (e) 480 V, 3-phase 100 amp electrical requirement maximum; (f) Horizontal conveyor cake transport; (g) Filter Cloths: Multi-filament woven with Mono-filament Polypropylene; (h) Equipment must be capable of achieving 35-40 percent solids metal hydroxide sludge cake; (i) Equipment must be in excellent condition, fully operational, and ready for use on arrival. Due date for quotes for this RFQ is tentatively scheduled for Close of Business, February 24, 2005. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This acquisition will be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System code is 421830. The Standard Industrial Classification code is 5084. The Small Business Size Standard is 100 employees. To receive a copy of the RFQ, contractors shall fax a request to the attention of Beverly Beckman, or Hart Blackeagle at (406) 247-7798. The fax must include the contractors/vendors name, address, phone/fax numbers, tax identification number and Duns number.
