Specific information for First Article requirements and Waiver requirements will be listed in the solicitation. Qualification requirements are available for this Part Number upon request. A Class Justification & Approval has been approved that allows the Government to negotiate sole-source using the existing basic ordering agreement (BOA) with United Technologies Corp (Pratt & Whitney) 400 Main St Suite 1, East Hartford CT 06118-1888, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, as United Technologies Corp (Pratt & Whitney) is the only approved source. Due to the planned sole source action under an existing BOA, the Government does not plan to create and issue a solicitation. However, if a potential offeror requests a copy of a solicitation, the Government will create and provide one. Please note that the Government is not required to delay contract award in order to review pending Source Approval Requests (SARs). Therefore, offerors are encouraged to submit SARs as soon as possible. If the Government has not completed review of the SAR when the contract is awarded, the SAR will be retained and reviewed for possible source approval for future awards. To obtain required technical data, potential offerors must use TEDS at https://fedteds.gov/. All proposals must be received no late than 4:00 PM Central Time on 26 Jan 2005. The award date is estimated to be on or about 31 Jan 2005. See Government-Wide Numbered Notes 22, 23 and 26.
