Description
ID PFH 94-1(1), MEADOW CREEK BRIDGE, Idaho Panhandle National Forest, Boundary County, Idaho. BY ISSUE OF THIS MODIFICATION, WE ANNOUNCE THIS SOLICIATION IS AVAILABLE FOR FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. IN ADDITION, THIS MODIFICATION CHANGES RESPONSE DATE TO MAY 1, 2005. THIS WORK CONSISTS OF 0.982 km of surfacing grading, asphalt concrete pavement, bridge construction and demolition, and guardrail. The steel girders on this bridge have been designed with two alternates. These include a conventional Grade 50 steel alternate and a High Performance Steel (HPS) hybrid Grade 50 and Grade 75 alternate. THIS PROJECT WILL BE BID WITH 2 ALTERNATE SCHEDULES: Alternate A Schedule includes 181,100 kg structural steel (Grade 50w). Alternate B Schedule includes 96,728 kg structural steel (grade 50w) and 69,306 kg HPS Structural Steel (Grade 75w). IN ADDITION, THIS PROJECT INCLUDES construction survey & staking; contractor quality control & assurance; contractor sampling & testing; construction schedules; temporary diversion channel device; removal of bridge; temporary traffic control; 300 m silt fence; 144 m sediment wattles; 1,000 cu m watering for dust control; 1.481 ha clearing & grubbing; 6,700 cu m excavation & embankment; 1,500 sq m earthwork geotextiles; 60 cu m structure excavation; 1,300 cu m riprap; 50 sq m rockery wall; 0.164 km road reconditioning; 3,400 ton minor crushed aggregate; 1,300 ton minor hot asphalt concrete; 3 ton asphalt tack coat; 211 cu m structural concrete; 26,506 kg reinforcing steel; 234 m steel H-piles 360x174; 450 mm @ 44m culverts; 4 terminal sections guardrail; 0.794 ha turf establishment; 615 ea trees; 7,500 m permanent pavement markings; and other smaller items of work. THE PROJECT IS LOCATED approximately 32 km northwest of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Work shall be completed by December 2005. Estimated PRICE RANGE is between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
