- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Aviation System Standards, Resource Management Staff has identified a requirement for integration and associated technical support of the FAA National Flight Database (NFD) with Rockwell Collins Flight Management System (FMS). The FMS is currently installed on the FAA Flight Inspection Aircraft. In accordance with AMS policy 3.2.2.4, the FAA intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Rockwell Collins International, Cedar Rapids, IA. Market Research has been conducted by Aviation System Standards, Resource Management Staff for this follow-on support applicable to FAA equipment.
