- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to modify existing contracts for waste management and disposal of hazardous wastes with Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Boston, MA; Onyx Environmental Services, Creedmoor, NC; and Bionomics, Inc., Kingston, TN, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.2 53(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is to extend services for six (6) months. The following is representative of the types of wastes involved: (a) chemical wastes: labpack waste, bulk liquid and solid, recyclable/universal, medical/pathological waste; (b) mixed wastes: liquid scintillation counting vials, bulk scintillation fluid labpacks (liquid and solid). Waste analysis and waste management will also be required. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 45 days of closing date of notice to Beverly Hall at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 45 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a contract modification will be issued with Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Onyx Environmental Services, and Bionomics, Inc.
