- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), CDC/ATSDR workgroup on Preconception Care (CAWPCC), announces its intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with Johnson Group Consulting, Inc., Hinesberg, VT, to provide services to conduct background research and to facilitate the process of reaching concensus among the representatives of the 22 CDC/ATSDR programs and over 12 national organizations to help plan for Summit and to facilitate the process of preparing, reviewing, finalizing, publishing,and disseminating the recommendations resulting from the Summit, to be held June 21 through 23, Marriott Century, Atlanta GA. CDC is currently unaware of any other contractors who possess the qualifications required to perform this requirement within the time frame specified. Performance will include facilitating discussions, developing agenda, finalizing plan and submitting a summary report of workgroup discussions. also required is the submission of a draft report of the recommendations based on discussions at the Summit and preparing and submitting a final report. The Government will provide a Statement of Work if requested. This announcement is being issued for informational purposes only; a request for quotation is not available. Organizations that feel they have the expertise to perform this work should submit a Capabilities Statement addressing the following criteria: 1) Strong knowledge of health policy, analytic capacity using qualitative evaluative research methods and syntheses, working knowledge about and relationships with state health agencies, as well as health professional, parent, governmental and other organizations concerned with improving child health. 2) Experience assessing relevant national and state program and policy needs and trends, facilitating meetings and discussions to foster concensus in policy development process. 3) Provide a list of past experience and publications relating to preconception care. The agency will consider any response(s) to this announcement in determining whether or not to compete this requirement. Responses must be received within fifteen days after posting of this notice. If the agency determines to compete this requirement, any resulting RFQ will be posted on this site. No subsequent notice will be issued. This acquistion is being processed under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Place of performance has been changed to Marriott Century Center, Atlanta, GA and Contractor's Facility. We have removed the Total Woman-owned Set Aside.
