- Dockside repairs to the NOAA Ship DAVID STARR JORDAN, a Class IV fisheries research vessel. &nbpsHome port is in San Diego, California. Characteristics: welded steel hull, displacement of 933 tons and length of 171 feet. &nbpsWork will include, but not limited to: Removing existing deck coating from the weather decks on the 01 and 02 levels and apply new coating system. Non skid on the 03 (flying bridge) forward of the mast is also to be replaced. Miscellaneous work: Install GFM hydraulic accumulator refit kit; Repair bridge window opening mechanism; Replacr gaskets on both port & starboard pilothouse doors; Replace vent diffuser terminals; Resurface outboard rollers for roller chocks, and repair watertight electrical connection for cable to the Sterns brake on the Markey winch.  Ship is currenty at sea and returns to San Diego February 22, will be available for inspection on February 23, 2005. All responsible sources may submit a bid for consideration.
