- Description
- THE BID OPENING DATE IS POSTPONED UNTIL BECAUSE OF A DELAY IN THE CREATION OF THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE. THE SOLICITATION PACKAGE IS EXPECTED TO BE AVAILABLE JANUARY 25, 2005.--------------- This contract contains work on 3 distinct sites on the McCrady Training Center. The work consists primarily of erosion control and site improvements. Major work items on the Chaver Pond site are constructing a low-water crossing utilizing articulating concrete block mats, constructing a pipe arch, riprap placement, and roadway improvements. Major work items on the Compass Road site are spoil removal, constructing road ditches, constructing catch basins, and roadway improvements. Major work items on the Combat 2 site are constructing catch basins, installing reinforced concrete pipe, constructing road ditches and grassed waterways, placing riprap, and roadway improvements. Performance time including mobilization is 125 calendar days. The estimated price is within the range of $100,000 to $250,000. The solicitation is subject to full and open competition with preferences to SBA certified Hubzone and Small Disadvantaged Business concerns. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about December 22, 2004. Interested parties are invited to attend a site showing on Wednesday, January 5, 2005. The site showing will begin at 1:30 P.M. in Building 1324, McCrady Training Center on Fort Jackson Military Reservation, Columbia, SC. McCrady Training Center of the SC Army National Guard, on Ft. Jackson, is located on SC 262 (Leesburg Road) approximately 15 miles east of Columbia and approximately ? mile west of US 601. Visitors will enter the training center through the gate with the Guardhouse. Each visitor must be prepared to show a photo ID and a copy of either this solicitation notice or the bid package. Visitors will be required to sign in. Vehicles are subject to search. Visitors may not take firearms on to the training center property. Attendees are encouraged to bring 4X4 vehicles, as the site showing will involve driving on unimproved dirt roads.
