Description
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Meeting Management Services, Inc., Washington, DC) to conduct and organize an event titled The Ohio Technologies Event 2005 for the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy at the U.S. Department of Energy. The ???Event??? will be held in Cleveland, Ohio September 26-28, 2005. The purpose of the Ohio Technologies event is to share information and results from federally funded research project by the Department of Energy with concern to energy consumption and emissions. This project, sponsored by EERE-ITP, concerns the Steel, Metal, Glass, and Aluminum industry as well as industries of renewable energies. Through general sessions, break-outs, and plant tours, attendees will learn of the projects and how to integrate them into their plants to help reduce the amount of energy needed to produce their products while directly reducing the emission released into their communities. The EERE-ITP program gives a unique advantage of being able to share information with multiple industries that can benefit a broad range of issues. The event will also give the opportunity for the private sector and national labs to interact with the local/state/federal government and strengthen their relationships. An exposition hall will allow the attendees to see the latest technologies relating to energy consumption and emission from the private and public sector. Firms who want to challenge the sole-source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates the firm???s ability to provide the services, as described above. This request is considered to be sole source to Meeting Management Services Inc. Therefore, no solicitation will result for this announcement. This award shall be made using FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Request for information should be addressed to Mr. Joseph Renk, Phone 412-386-6406 who is the Technical Representative for the above requirement. The Contract Officer is Mr. Robert L. Mohn, FAX 412-386-5770, E-Mail ??? mohn@netl.doe.gov.
