- Description
- The purpose of this contract is the reconstruction of Forest Development Road (FDR) 6328 MP5.90 to MP 9.1 (Section 1). The reconstruction includes furnishing, hauling and placing crushed aggregate on the traveled way including turnouts/pullouts, parking areas and approach road intersections, stockpiling crushed aggregate, quality control and quantity measurement, certification for quality and quantity, reconditioning the roadbed, mobilization, pit development, and seeding and fertilizing. The stockpiled aggregate shall be produced and stored in the material source located at MP 8.90 on FDR 6328. The project area is located on Kupreanof Island in Southeast Alaska and begins approximately 35 kilometers by road south of the town of Kake. Access to Kake is either by the Alaska Marine Highway ferry, boat, plane or helicopter. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $250,000 to $500,000. The performance period is 365 calendar days. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about February 3, 2005 for viewing and printing. Potential offerors are requested to download the solicitation from the Internet if at all possible. Alternatively, a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests should reference solicitation R10-05-05-03. Telephone requests will not be honored. Offers will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date.
