- NASA/HQ plans to issue a Request for Quotations(RFQ)for a writer to support NASA's Office of Aeronautics Research. The writer's objective will be to facilitate communication of the Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate to its stakeholders, other government agencies and the public. As a part of this effort the writer will be required to research and develop articles for magazines, newsletters and electronic media on current and future NASA Aeronautics Programs. These articles will be used to integrate and streamline content for inputs into NASA performance accountability report, president's annual air and space report, budget narratives, annual reports, brochures, newsletters and other materials. These activities will be coordinated with NASA's Public Affairs Officer. Work shall be performed at the contractor's facility, NASA Headquarters and relevant Field Centers such as Langley Research Center, Glenn Research Center, Dryden Flight Research Center and Ames Research Center. The period of performance for this effort will be for one (1) year from the date of contract award. All interested parties wishing to receive a copy of the RFQ shall submit their request via email or fax to Ms. Sandra Russo at: Sandra.R.Russo@nasa.gov or fax to 301-286-0356. The anticipated release date of the RFQ is on or about January 21, 2005 with an anticipated offer due date on or about February 4, 2005. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26.
