- Notification is hereby given to the public that the United States General Services Administration has solicited offers to lease approximately 11,000 rentable square feet, which yields a minimum of 8,963 ANSI/BOMA Office Area Square Feet to a maximum of 9,120 ANSI/BOMA Office Area Square Feet of office and related space to satisfy the requirements of the Social Security Administration (SSA) in New York, New York. The area of consideration for the space acquisition is Manhattan, New York bounded as follows: North: Starting at Fifth Avenue and East 116th Street, East 116th Street to East River; South: East 90th Street to Fifth Avenue; East: East River to East 90th Street; West: Fifth Avenue to East 116th Street to the starting point. Under consideration is a building located at 345 East 102 Street in New York, New York; said site is located in a Zone ?A? Floodplain, which is a 100-year flood plain. This site is being considered due to a lack of alternative sites. There are no other practicable alternatives as this is the only existing site to satisfy the Government?s space requirements and falls within the Government?s specified delineated area. As the proposed site is already in use, this leasing action will have no adverse effect on the current status of the floodplain. This notice is being issued in compliance with applicable Federal Government regulations and at least fifteen (15) days prior to the execution of a lease. Comments about this project must be directed to Maria Guida, Contracting Officer, Realty Services Division, Public Buildings Service, U.S. General Services Administration at 26 Federal Plaza, Room 16-100, New York, New York 10278, (212) 264-2236 within fifteen (15) days of this notice.
