- The Naval Air Depot Jacksonville has a requirement for repair services for the TF34 jet engine?s high-pressure turbine rotor balance piston air seal (Air Force P/N 3921T58P02; Navy P/N 5025T33P04), a Critical Flight Safety item. Service requires the contractor to accept non-ready-for-issue (Non-RFI) components, clean, inspect, and repair to bring the component to ready-for-issue (RFI) condition. Estimate 200 seals per year (17 per month) requiring service. Applicable documentation includes (but is not limited to) GE drawings (latest version) 6078T90, 5025T33, 3921T56, 3921T58; T.O. 2J-TF34-3-2 WP365 maintenance manual; NAVAIR 02B-105ALB-6-2.2 maintenance manual. Because of the criticality of the item to be repaired, prospective offerors will be required to submit a Source Approval Request with their offers for review. Only qualified/approved contractors will be eligible for award. Additionally, the successful offeror shall be required to pass 1st Article Testing ! requirements and meet ISO 9002 requirements. GFE tooling will be provided to the contractor. The anticipated contract period of performance is 15 Apr 2005 through 14 Apr 2006 with four one-year option periods. The solicitation will be made available to the public via posting on FedBizOpps. Only written or electronic responses to the solicitation will be accepted. The deadline for receipt of responses will be identified on the actual solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered by the agency. This procurement is subject to the Service Contract Act and the place of performance is unknown. The Contracting Officer will request wage determinations if asked to do so in writing by 07 Feb 2005. This procurement is being conducted under FAR 13.5 Commercial Item Test Program.
