- Description
- Provide Architect-Engineer & Construction(Design-Build) Services for the design and construction of preparing the site for installing VA furnished Nuclear Medicine Equipment. Site preparation shall be pursuant to appropriate National Codes & VA Design Criteria & attached publications. Work includes demolition, structural modifications, architectural modifications, mechanical upgrades, electrical upgrades, and related work specified by manufacturers' drawings and specifications & it requires phase construction activities. Work also includes (1) Construction for interior control room designated for installed equipment, & providing dedicated power circuits; (2) Assurance of the building_s structural integrity, (3) required air conditioning, (4) Install power & signal lines for each piece of equipment, & installing casework & work surfaces. Additional requirements: a survey of the existing conditions/space, and the preparation of design drawings & working construction drawings for structural, mechanical, plumbing & electrical work for the project. Manufactures' specifications, fixture schedules & drawings will be furnished by VA for Contractor to perform construction work. Drawings include Pre-Installation, Equipment, Structural & Electrical Layouts, Equipment, Structural & Electrical Details, and Electrical Specs on the equipment. Completion of the Design-Build project shall be 120 calendar days from date of NTP. Proposals submitted in response to this solicitation will be evaluated in accordance with the following factors: (1) Construction Management; (2)Past Performance; (3)Schedule; & (4)Cost. Offerors should note that award may be made on the initial proposal and the lowest cost/price alone will not necessarily be awarded the contract. Award will be made to the offeror whose overall offer (both technically and cost/price) is most advantageous to the Government. This procurement is unrestricted, pursuant to Public Law 100-656, and subject to the availability of funds. A Pre-Proposal meeting has been scheduled. Date, time and location can be found in the SOL under "INSTRUCTIONS, CONDITIONS, AND OTHER STATEMENTS TO OFFERORS." ATTENDANCE AT THE PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.
