- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, NSWCDD intends to purchase, sole source to valid vendors of Hewlett Packard and Seagate Technologies commercial computer equipment. NSWCDD intends to purchase the following items: 24 - Hewlett Packard DDS3 DAT Tape Drives, Internal C1555D; 12 - Seagate Technologies 18GB Disk Drives ST118273W; 12 - Seagate Technologies 18GB Disk Drives ST318418N; and 12 - Seagate Technologies 36GB Disk Drives ST336918N. The equipment will be used at the NSWCDD to ! support establishing and maintaining an Aegis Open Architecture development and testing environment. The systems being built must replicate the systems developed, exclusively, for the Aegis program, by Lockheed Martin. The sole source nature of this procurement is to maintain compatibility with the developer of the Aegis OA computer programs. The equipment will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The closing date will be 20 January 2005, 2:00PM with an anticipated award date of January 31, 2005. All items will be priced FOB-Destination, Dahlgren, Virginia. Delivery shall be 30 days after receipt of order. The GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATION AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NOTICE.
