Description

The National Park Service issued a prospectus on November 15, 2004, soliciting offers for a concession contract for merchandise, and limited food and beverage services within White Sands National Monument. This notice serves as an amendment of the effective date and term of the new Contract. The National Park Service has determined it is necessary to award the new Contract with an estimated effective date of September 12, 2005 and extending the term of the Contract to an expiration date of December 31, 2013. The merchandise, food and beverage operation is traditionally open year-round except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years days. The operation is located in the Visitor Center complex. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing concessioner is not a preferred Offeror for this contract. One contract will be issued for the above listed services. Any offer, including that of the existing concessioner, must be received by the Chief, Business Resources Division, National Park Service, Intermountain Region, 12795 W. Alameda Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80228 no later than ninety (90) days after the release of the prospectus in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract to provide these services within White Sands National Monument. The Prospectus was issued November 15, 2004, for a 90 day response period under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposals due on February 14, 2005, no later than 4:00 p.m. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $75 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $65 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package.
