- Description
- Description of Work: The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials and equipment, and constructing Item 450-R, Levee Enlargement and Berms, in Madison Parish, Louisiana. Principal features of the work include mobilization and demobili zation, clearing and grubbing, semicompacted levee embankment, semicompacted berm embankment, uncompacted berm embankment, ramps, removing and replacing existing gravel surfacing, new sand-clay-gravel or crushed stone surfacing, establishment of turf and m owing, cattle guards, water control structure with corrugated metal pipe and slide gate, riser pipe with safety grating and concrete riser foundation, annular filter drainage ring, R400 and R650 stone ditch protection, bedding stone, filter stone, engineer ing fabric, ditch excavation, using the Government-furnished software (RMS) for electronic exchange of information and management of the contract, storm water pollution prevention, and environmental protection. The estimated value of the proposed work is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. Plans and specifications will be available at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/-contract/ on the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office (VCCO) Web Page. Compact discs and hardcopies will not be available. Bidders should check the VCCO Web Page often for new solicitations and/or changes (AMENDMENTS) to existing ones.
