Description
Description: The US Army ARDEC, Program Manager for Crew Served Weapons, Picatinny NJ is seeking sources of a mature (in production) or near mature CROWS (Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station) Vehicle Integration Kit that provides the capability of integrating the CROWS mechanically to the M1114 / M1116 Up Armored High Mobility Multi-purpose Combat Vehicle. CROWS will use the host vehicle system power. The CROWS system consists of a stabilized weapon mount and Line Replacement Units (LRUs): sensor unit, electronic modules unit, interface control unit, switch panel unit, display unit/joystick control unit. The VIK shall allow the CROWS to mount on the existing host vehicle gun mounting or on suitable upper horizontal surface (roof) without redesign/modification of the host vehicle?s current physical configuration. All CROWS LRUs shall be mounted, using the VIK, inside of the host vehicle. Placement of the LRUs shall not interfere with crews/vehicle function and operation. The CROWS incorporates a single through-hull cable with quick- disconnect, electrical connector for all system signals and power, and this cable goes through a plate provided as part of the VIK. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interest by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, demonstration video and other technical data as well as identification of current customers and rough indication of pricing for a single VIK. These should be sent, if available and at no cost to the US Government, within 21 days of this announcement to US Army ARDEC.
