- This announcement re-advertises the requirement previously identified under RFP NIH-ES-04-15. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to solicit proposal using full and open competition for the acquisition of ?knockout mouse? lines, mice that carry a null allele for a give gene, and include a histochemical and/or fluorescent reporter to allow analysis of the pattern of expression of the knocked out gene in mouse tissues, and related data. The Government will then distribute both the mouse lines and data to researchers worldwide. NIH will designate one or more repositories into which the mouse lines will be delivered. The depository will be authorized to transfer mouse lines to the Field of Use organizations. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) invites interested parties to review a draft electronic version of solicitation available at http://www.niehs.nih.gov/dert/rcb/rfp.htm. Interested parties may provide comments to the Contracting Officer at hardee@niehs.nih.gov. Or may provide written comments to RCB, NIEHS, P.O. Box 12874, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. The Government anticipates that the draft RFP will be available 1/15/05. The comment period will remain open for ten (10) days. The estimated release date for the formal solicitation is January 30, 2005. The estimated receipt date for proposals is March 30, 2005.
