- Description
- Naval Air Warfare Center – Weapons Division (NAWC-WD), Point Mugu, CA, intends to award a single Cost Plus Fixed Fee IDIQ contract for information resources management support services on a competitive “best value” basis under the Small Business Administration’s 8(a) program. Tasking under this requirement includes information resources technical support services in support of the mission of the programs supported at NAWCWD that includes but is not exclusive to RDT&E, avionics hardware, software and total-combat-system operational flight programs (OFPs); electronic and information warfare; in-service support for weapons systems, comprised of but not limited to missiles, bombs and targets, and systems test and evaluation (T&E). To meet objectives and to increase efficiency, NAWC-WD requires contractor support in core areas of systems design, web page development, and maintenance; operation, evaluation and maintenance of legacy computer hardware and software systems, including legacy servers and routers and wireless systems; installation and maintenance of hardware and cabling and wireless systems associated with scientific and technology engineering networks; installation and maintenance of electronic security systems; development and life cycle support, systems maintenance, documentation, data and software conversion, software training and training documentation, transition planning, site system interface development, data entry and extraction, end-user technical support and configuration management support. The period of performance will commence October 1, 2004 through 9/30/05 for a twelve (12) month base period, Option 1 from 10/1/05 through 9/30/06 (12 months), Option 2 from 10/1/06 through 9/30/07 (12 months), Option 3 from 10/1/07 through 9/30/08 (12 months), Option 4 from 10/1/08 through 9/30/09 (12 months). The entire contract term is five (5) years total. In addition, FAR Clause 52.217-8 OPTION TO EXTEND SERVICES will be included in the solicitation and resultant contract. The NAICS Code is 541512, with a size standard of $21.0 million. This procurement is limited to eligible 8(a) certified firms, having NAICS code 541512 among their approved NAICS codes. This is a nationwide 8(a) competitive requirement. Offers from firms other than qualified 8(a) firms will not be considered. The solicitation will be issued on or about May 18, 2004 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home pages at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm No hard copies of the solicitation will be furnished unless absolutely necessary. The anticipated due date for proposals is 18 June 2004; however, the actual proposal due date will be stated in the solicitation when issued. Proposal must be typewritten in English.
