Description

Sole Source. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Active Gear Co., 201 Snidercroft Rd. Concord, Ontario Canada L4K2J9 for the purchase of vehicle h eater kits and accessories for use at the United States Army Cold Regions Test Center (USACRTC), Fort Greeley, Alaska. This contract will be for the following items: Item 0001, Quantity 11, D5S 24 volt heater SUSV kit, part number 501-0170-5005; Item 0002 , Quantity 06, HMMV EMI heater kit D5S 24 volt, part number 501-0170-5017; Item 0003, Quantity 02, D10 24 volt heater for M113, part number 97-1350-113; Item 0004 Quantity 06, D10 boxed kit fuel pump 24 volt, part number CA 2227-56; Item 0005, Quantity 08, D5S 12 volt Truck kit, part number CCA2217-20; Item 0006, Quantity 04, Duel fuel pick up pipe, part number CAO 12057; Item 0007, Quantity 01, 130 G grader kit, part number CA 214720; Item 0008, Quantity 15, 7 day digital timer, part number 22 1000 30 36 0 0; Item 0009, Quantity 15, Bezel and mounting bracket, part number 25 1482 70 01 00. All items in the above listed Items 0001 through 0009 must be direct replacement compatible (to include form, fit, and function) with the current Espar items in use. The North American Industry Classification System code is 423120 with a size standard of 100 employees. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may i dentify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide this product, then you must respond by 18 January 2005, 12:01 PM MST. Email your response to Erik Reta at erik.reta@yuma.army.mil. The response must clearly demonstrate that your firm possesses the experience and capability to provide the required equipment and historical experience. There a re no substitutions for meeting requirements of the above listed items and all specifications must be met. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their o wn research regarding the specifications of the above listed items. See Note 22 with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 8 days instead of 45 days.
