- The 437th Contracting Squadron is seeking Large Businesses and Small Businesses who are capable of manufacturing and installing dock lift that bridges between the loading dock and the tail end of the transport equipment. The purpose of this Sources Sought is to determine the availability of both large and small businesses who have the capability to install this system at Charleston AFB, SC. This is not a solicitation or presolicitation, and at this time quotations are not being requested. However, if adequate interest is not received from small business concerns, the forthcoming solicitation may be issued for full and open competition for both large and small businesses to participate. The associated NAICS code is 333922 with a 500 employee size standard. Sources must be willing and capable of manufacturing and installing dock lift to Charleston AFB, SC. The item may requested to be installed between May 2005 ? 30 Sep 2005. Description of services: The contractor shall furnish all personnel, supervision, and services necessary to manufacture and install the dock lift (also referred to as an Air Cargo Lift System) with the minimum capabilities: A.) Lift 2 aircraft pallets (463L) weighing 22K lbs total. B.) Deck size 120 inches X 240 inches with chain drive and live roller conveyor. C.) Extend to 69 inches in height and lower to 20 inches. D.) The system shall have a walkway on deck. E.) The system shall have a manual lowering valve. The government is seeking BRAND NAME OR EQUAL of the American Lifts Air Cargo Lift System for two pallets. Interested Large and Small Businesses who have at least 3 years past performance experience supplying industrial lifts may respond to this announcement. Contractors should provide a company capabilities package and at least 3 references with contact information. Electronic photos of installed dock lifts are preferred to be in the package. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be received via email, fax, mail, or delivery by 20 Jan 2005 no later than 4:30 PM Eastern Standard Time.
