- Description
- The U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of International Affairs, under the Export Control and Related Border Security Program (EXBS) seeks to provide the country of Uzbekistan with Night Vision Goggle (NVG) testing and tooling equipment to maintain and repair NVG?s that are currently on hand. Such equipment aids the country to control its borders, thereby preventing illegal trafficking in weapons of mass destruction, drugs, monies, goods, and people. The following is required: Hoffman Engineering ANV-126-001 Night Vision Device Test Set (3 sets), Hoffman Engineering ANV-126-017, AN/PVS-7B-7D Goggle Adapter (3 sets), and Hoffman Engineering Test Set ANB-20/20 (3 sets), to be delivered f.o.b. warehouse, Dulles, Virginia. The ANV-126-001 test set is a field portable instrument operating from an internal, rechargeable battery and contains a set of complete test functions including Goggle Gain, Resolution, Distortion, and Spot Defects. The AnV-20/20 is a compact, battery operated, field deployable system designed to provide the NVD user with an accurate means of performing infinity focus to both NVD channels at once. This is notice of the Government?s intent to sole source the acquisition of the above equipment with Hoffman Engineering Corporation, 8 Riverbend Drive, Stamford, Connecticut 06907-0430. Recent market research indicates this only this source manufactures and distributes testing equipment capable of performing resolution testing on all AN/AVS-6 and AN/AVS-9 NVG?s. See Note 22.
