- Notice of availability of a prospectus for solicitation of proposals for guided Elwha River raft float trips within Olympic National Park available January 10, 2005. Proposals are due March 15, 2005, no later than 4:00 p.m. PST. Olympic National Park is located in northwestern Washington near Port Angeles, Washington. The heaviest visitation is during the summer months from Memorial weekend through Labor Day. The term of the contract is ten years. Annual gross receipts for 2003 were $64,945. There is no concession improvement program. In accordance with 36 CFR Part 59, Sub Parts E and F, the existing Concessioner is a preferred offeror for the purpose of granting a preferential right to renewal of the existing contract. The prospectus will explain the business opportunity and the terms and conditions under which the National Park Service will award the concession contract. The cost for purchasing the prospectus is $65 by mail or $50 if picked up in person. Parties interested in obtaining a prospectus should mail or bring in person a check or money order (NO CASH SALES) made payable to the National Park Service, Pacific West Region, Office of Concession Program Management, 1111 Jackson Street, Suite 700, Oakland California, 94607. If purchased by mail, the front of the envelope should be marked "ATTN: OFFICE OF CONCESSIONS PROGRAM MANAGEMENT - MAILROOM DO NOT OPEN".
