- Description
- The work consists of providing all labor, materials, tools, parts, equipment, supervision and transportation necessary to perform repair of base supply area on east end of Bldg 175. The work site is located at building 175 Supply, Bay A31, Birmingha m IAP Air National Guard Base, 5401 East Lake Boulevard, Birmingham AL 35217-3595. Site visits should be coordinated with the Base Civil Engineer Office, Tuesday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., by calling (205)714-2221/2247. Contractors are resp onsible for field verification of all dimensions, sizes, brand names, model numbers and all other aspects of the job. Failure to do so does not in any way alleviate the responsibility of the contractor to accomplish a complete job. Contractor is responsib le for identifying all discrepancies and problems prior to starting work. Any work identified as not part of this project but considered to be critical for a complete job should be reported to the government representative as soon as it becomes known. Pri ncipal features of work to be accomplished is as follows: a. Demo portions of area as shown on plans. Debris shall be hauled away and floor patch applied. b. Provide new office space in open bay area, painted drywall construction, insulated 2 x 2 drop ceiling, 4 x 6 windows metal framed glass windows, and vinyl flooring, corrugated sheet metal roof and bollards. c. Provide water, sewer, HVAC, lighting and power to area shown in open bay A31. Area is to have government furnished/contractor installed overhead hot water heater. Contractor will need to tap into existing sanitary sewer manhole north of bldg 175 at an approximate distance of 75 ft. Floor will need to be sawcut and replaced with equal thickness of concrete-approx 10 . d. Bay A32 is to have ceiling or wall mounted gas fired heaters similar in type and capacity to those existing in adjoining bay A31. Solicitation W912JA-05-R-0001 will be issued via ASFI with an anticipated issue date of January 7, 2005 and a response due date of February 8, 2005.
