Description

This modification changes the date of the site visit from 10 Jan 05 to 11 Jan 05 at 1p.m. local time. Contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, labor, parts, material, and equipment necessary to ?Repair Combined Air Operations Center? (CAOC), Bldg 74, at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Arizona. This is a Firm-Fixed price ?Design Build.? Project includes, but is not limited to the following work elements necessary to design and construct projects FBNV 040120A Entitled: ?Install HVAC Air Operations Center, 12 AF and FBNV 040120B Entitled: ?Repair Air Operations Center, 12AF. Contractor shall design the project in accordance with the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Design Guide. Additionally, to provide offerors with a solid starting point and to reduce the design timeframes, we are providing our current specifications for the Simplified Acquisition for Base Engineering Requirements (SABER) contract. These specifications may be utilized for explanations of how the Government expects work to be performed and to what standard. Any areas discussing items such as coefficients, priced/non-priced items, levels of design, personnel requirements, etc., should not be considered. The work is described as follows: Design and subsequently renovate aforementioned facility IAW the request for proposal and Statement of Work. Contractor will be responsible for both the design and construction, if the construction is ultimately funded (refer to solicitation note #5 for complete details). This solicitation is restricted to 8 (a) business concerns. The applicable North American Industry Classification Code for this solicitation is 236220. The Request for Proposal will be issued in a commercial format using Past Performance Trade Off evaluation procedures, resulting in the Best Value to the Government. Past performance is significantly more important than price. There are experience and qualification requirements for this project that will be outlined in the solicitation documents. The solicitation may be issued electronically on or about 3 Jan 05 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.eps.gov, with a proposal receipt date on or about 17 Jan 05. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all solicitation documents. The following viewers may be required to view the complete solicitation: Microsoft Word (.doc), Adobe Acrobat Reader (.pdf), WinZip (.zip or.exe), and AutoCAD.
