- Description
- The National Weather Service (NWS) has a requirement for a Signal Acquisition and Regeneration System for use in analysis of existing and future signals from systems such as radar and various telecommunications equipment. The major functions of the required system are (1) digitization of signals, (2) storage of digitized data to disk, (3) regeneration of original signals from stored data, and (4) inputs/outputs for digital and analog timing signals. This procurement will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition procedures. The competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ), including the specification, shall be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov under RFQ number DG133W-05-RQ-1128. It is expected that this RFQ will be issued on or about January 7, 2005 and will close on or about January 27, 2005. Please monitor the fedbizopps site for release of the RFQ. Small business concerns may obtain a printed copy of the RFQ from Mary Watson, the primary point-of-contact for this acquisition. Interested parties must respond to the RFQ in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order.
