- The CVN Maintenance Complex includes all labor, materials, and equipment to demolish the existing building 426 and construct a 6,086 square meter, 2 to 3 story, shop and administration building with outdoor covered storage. The building functions include a high bay light production shop with welding hoods, kitting area, bottle gas hookups, service outlets and jib cranes; classified material storage; hazardous material decontamination showers and lockers; restrooms; lockers; food service canteen; employee eating area for approximately 2,700 personnel; offices for approximately 280 employees including copying, office supply storage, conference rooms and associated functions. Demolition of building 426 includes Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB), asbestos, and potentially hazardous paint demolition, site and utility work, security fencing, foundations, blast hardened exterior enclosure, roofing, stairways, interior construction, elevators, jib cranes, mechanical systems, fire protection sprinkler system, communications, electrical systems and incidental related work.
