- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), St. Inigoes, MD intends to solicit a purchase order on a sole source basis with Rockwell Collins, Inc., located at 400 Collins Rd NE, Cedar Rapids IA 52498-0001to provide a high frequency transmitter to support the Special Operation Command (USSOCOM). The item to be procured is as follows: (Qty. 1) CLIN 0001 NPN 1KW Turn Key System not rack mounted consisting of the following: P/N:752-9803-002 CSS 200, Radio Control Software, Basic (CD-ROM); P/N: 751-9427-0001 SK-2200 Slide Kit for RT-2200; P/N:822-0906-0002 RT-200, Receiver/Exciter; P/N:270-2695-010, PA-2220A, 1kW Amp Sys (230 VAC Single Phase); P/N:270-2772-010, Audio Panel; NPN Cable. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 256(c) and 10 U.S.C. 2034(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source. The Psychological Operation (PSYOP) System requires the Turn-Key System to maintain compatibility with the existing PSYOP. Rockwell Collins is the only vendor capable of providing the Turn-Key System. They are also the manufacturer and sole distributor. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may submit information within 14 days after synopsis is published and will be considered by this agency. A determination not to compete this procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. The Government will not pay for any information received. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541512.
