Description
Sources Sought: The 92nd Contracting Squadron is issuing this announcement to identify potential sources who would be interested in providing modified one-man life rafts for the 66th TRS, Det 2., Pensacola FL. The associated NAICS code is 326299 with a size standard not to exceed 500 employees. The resulting purchase order shall be firm-fixed-price. Note: This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by the quotation due date. A determination by the Government to compete this requirement will be based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Proposals must clearly delineate the capability to successfully produce and deliver the requested items at a fair and reasonable price. The Government intends to contract on a sole source basis with The Patten Company, 1803 Madrid Ave., Lake Worth, FL 33461 to provide 175 each, modified one-man life rafts. Delivery is required no later than 45 days from date of contract award. Contractor is to produce and deliver 175 each, Patten Group Life Raft, model Denier LRU-16/P ?OR EQUAL? in accordance with the attached Description of Items. The Description of Items and additional clauses attached to this synopsis/solicitation are applicable to this procurement and will be incorporated into any resultant purchase order. Description of Items: 1) 175 modified 210 Denier LRU-16P one-man life rafts. Patten P/N #901005 2) Life raft assembly consists of an inflation assembly (carbon dioxide and inflation valve), a sea anchor, storage pockets for emergency beacons and light, ballast bags/water pockets, a spray/weather shield, and an inflatable floor. 3) The main tube is constructed using 210 Denier yellow, main tube takes a fluted oral tube with sleeve. No brass clamp on the main oral inflation tube. 4) The floor will be sea blue with oral inflation valve. 5) The spray/weather shield will be 70 Denier orange on the inside and sea blue on the outside with oral inflation valve. 6) Leave off NSN and stencil ?FOR SERE TRAINING USE ONLY? 7) An image of the required item can be viewed at www.lifesupportintl.com/LRU-16P.htm.
