Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City (NSWC PC) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Complete Parachute Solutions, 1200 flightline Blvd, Suite 2, Deland, Florida for the procurement of three (3) MC2 Main Canopies (p/n CPS-MP-360), three (3) Reserve Canopies (p/n CPS-HR-360-R1), three (3) tandems w/disk release (p/n CPS-SOV3-MM1), three (3) Skyhook Release (p/n CPS-Skyhook), three (3) tandem gear bags (p/n CPS-GPT-002), three (3) Inner Main Bags MM14 (p/n CPS-MM14), and ten (10) Outer Main Bags (p/n CPS-MM14). The items are replacement parts for a prototype parachute system being evaluated as a possible future replacement to the current Ram Air Parachute System (RAPS) in use by Marine Corps, Air Force, and Navy parachutists. This prototype system has been tested in accordance with NavAir standards, and has been approved by Headquarters Marine Corps for further testing, to include the development of tactics, standard operating procedures, emergency op! erating procedures, and unit maintenance. This system is only manufactured by Complete Parachute Solutions and, at this time, the design is proprietary to them. The replacement parts needed must be compatible with the rest of the existing system, and must be of the same design as the original items approved for this system. This will maintain the integrity of the test protocols, ensure the safety of the jumpers, and comply in all aspects with the letter of approval issued for this system by Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM). Delivery will be 60 days after award to the Naval Support Activity - Panama City, Receiving Officer, and Building 100, 101 Vernon Avenue, Panama City, FL 32407-7001. A purchase order will be awarded on the basis of the quote submitted in response to the RFQ on or about 14 Jan 05.
