Description
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires guest rooms, meeting rooms, food and beverages, audio visual equipment, business center and related services of a qualified hotel in the Washington, DC metropolitan area or downtown Baltimore, MD. The conference will be held Monday through Friday during one of the following months in 2005 … March – November … with the exception of the following weeks: March 28-April 1; April 25-29; May 30-June 3; July 4-8; September 5-9; October 3-7; October 10-14; November 7-11; and November 21-25. The estimated maximum number of sleeping rooms per night is 130 if held in the Washington, DC area or 190 if held in downtown Baltimore, MD. The meeting space requirements include, but are not limited to, a general session for 240 classroom style, a general session for 130 classroom style, six concurrent breakout rooms for about 40 people each, an office, registration/refreshment break area, and a room for food and beverage events. The proposed food functions include continental breakfast, luncheon, and reception. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner; or three diamonds or higher per AAA. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation about mid-November, 2004 at www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will contain the details of the rooms and services required by the hotel, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. This will NOT be a small business set-aside but a full and open competition, using simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible hotels may submit a quote that will be considered by the OCC. OCC anticipates awarding the contract in January 2005. NOTE: THIS NOTICE MAY HAVE POSTED ON WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (10-NOV-2004).
