- NASA Goddard Space Flight Center plans to issue a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) for Facilities Operations and Maintenance Services for the GSFC, Greenbelt, MD location. Services to be acquired include: facilities operations and maintenance, snow removal, mechanical systems maintenance, HVAC System cleaning, laboratory exhaust/fume hood maintenance, and special events support. The overall GSFC site is approximately 1,270 acres, and consists of 33 major buildings and 114 minor structures on-site that range in complexity from clean rooms and laboratories to major office complexes to warehouses. The current square footage of GSFC owned buildings is approximately 2,275,000 net square feet (app. 210,000 square meters). The resultant contract will be a Cost-Plus-Award-Fee/Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Award Fee contract. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. This procurement is a total 100% 8(a) set-aside. See Note 4. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 561210 and $30 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the draft RFP is on or about December 23, 2004. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about January 28, 2005, with an anticipated offer due date of on or about February 28, 2005. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See Internet Note "B". Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Any reference notes can be viewed at the URLs linked below.
