- Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a sole source modification to armasuisse (Government of Switzerland), under IDIQ Contract N00019-03-C-0014 to acquire up to an additional 12 used F-5E Tiger Aircraft (that have an average of 2500 flight hours or less) with their associated spares and supporting technical data and up to 18 used J85-GE-21 engines in support of the F-5 adversary program at MCAS Yuma and NAS Fallon. Unless otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available. Request for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. General Information: The Swiss F-5 aircraft is of a similar configuration which can be modified at significantly reduced cost to the USN current F-5N configuration that could not be expected to be recovered through competition. There are no commitments by the government to issue any solicitations, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a delivery order for the efforts mentioned above.
