- Description
- The purpose of this notice is to advise potential offerors for the Joint Precision Approach Landing Systems (JPALS) System Development and Demonstration (SDD) procurement that the Government has determined that ARINC Engineering Services (AES), Annapolis, MD, is eligible to compete, as a prime or subcontractor, in the planned JPALS SDD competition. AES is currently the prime contractor for the JPALS Local Area Differential GPS (LDGPS) and Shipboard Relative GPS (SRGPS) Technology Development (TD) requirements. In accordance with FAR Subpart 9.5, it has been determined that no known Organizational Conflict of Interest exists with regard to allowing AES to participate in the planned competitive procurement for the JPALS SDD requirements. Accordingly, and notwithstanding any LDGPS or SRGPS TD contract term or condition to the contrary, the Contracting Officer has determined that it is in the best interests of the Government, and consistent with the Competition in Contracting Act (CICA), to allow AES to participate in this competition.
