- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District intends to award a firm fixed price contract for the fabrication of sluices for the C&D Canal and Fort Mifflin Project Offices. The requirement is for the fabrication of seven (7) full (top/botto m) sluices for the C&D Canal Project Office and ten (10) full (top/bottom) sluices for the Fort Mifflin Project Office and five (5) partial (bottom only) for the Fort Mifflin Project Office. All material for fabricating the sluices, except 30 diameter pi pe, shall be Contractor-furnished. Sufficient length/sections of this 30 pipe will be furnished to the contractor as GFM. The contractor shall be responsible for cutting the pipe and welding it to the sluices. The contractor shall furnish all labor, ma terial, services and equipment to perform the specified work in accordance with the terms and conditions of Invitation for Bid Number W912BU-05-B-0003. Partial shipment of units as fabricated by the contractor in any quantity prior to April 30, 2005 will be acceptable; however, all units must be delivered by April 30, 2005. The solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about 22 December 2004 with a bid opening date of 25 January 2005 at 11:15 hours at the local place of bid opening. The acquisition wi ll be procured in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 14. Contractors must register on the Internet and download the solicitation package and all amendments from the following address: https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after the date of the solicitation. If any information changes during the advertisement period, contractors are responsible to make the changes to their user profile on the Internet. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause delay in receiving notice of the solicitation or a ny amendments. Hard copies will not be available. Bidders are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation and any amendments. All contractors are required to be registered in the DOD Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
