- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The following is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and supplemental information included in this notice. The quotation number is N00178-05-Q-1050 and is a request for quotation. This announcement constitutes the only quotation being issued. A written quotation will not be issued. All interested parties shall indicate their interest and capability with their fax quote at (540) 653-7088 and shall be considered by Naval Surface Warfare Cent! er, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren VA 22448-5100. All offerors must be advised that they must be active in the Central Contractor Registration database at http://www.ccr.gov before award can be made. The Government intends to procure, on a Sole-Source basis to Elma Electronic Inc. 44350 S. Grimmer BLVD Freemont CA 94538-6385, the following items: A. Sentry Sensor Model E601259, 24 each; Elma Electronic Components are required, and brand name or equal is not acceptable due to the fact that the items identified in this synopsis are identified extensively in drawings, technical manuals, and allowance part lists (APL) for the system for which they are to be utilized. In addition to needing the items to conform exactly to those currently in use, using any parts other than those identified in this synopsis would require rewriting much of the documentation and redoing much of the testing associated, outweighing any potential savings that may be realized ! using alternative parts. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334119 with a size standard of 1000 employees. The contract shall be a firm fixed price order. Delivery shall be made within thirty days of award to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, Virginia, 22448. FOB Destination Shall apply.
